Speech & Language Therapy of Ann Arbor

Why Private Practice?
During my years of providing speech and language therapy in the public schools, I have found that all too often, students are unable to receive the frequency, intensity, and/or individualized attention within their intervention programs that could yield more effective and efficient progress. Additionally, throughout the summer months, at least some degree of regression is likely to occur. With these realities in mind, came my desire to offer a way to “keep the momentum going” when school-based services are either deemed not enough or when they are not available. Of course, there are also scenarios when a child may not qualify to receive speech and/or language therapy at school (ie, a student does not demonstrate an educational impact as a result of their communication deficit). In these situations, children and/or parents may still want said communication difficulties addressed and therefore choose to seek services outside of school. At Momentum Speech & Language Therapy of Ann Arbor, I look forward to working collaboratively with both children and parents to assist my clients in achieving (if not exceeding!) their communication goals. Evidence-based approaches will be utilized to ensure that interventions are efficacious and tailored to meet individual needs.
Cheers to building communicative momentum!
