Speech & Language Therapy of Ann Arbor

Your SLP

Lisa Orringer, MS, CCC-SLP
My name is Lisa Orringer, and I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I received my Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. My career began in medical speech-language pathology, working in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, sub-acute care centers, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, and residential rehabilitation programs. In these roles, I serviced both pediatric and adult populations presenting with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders resulting from an array of medical conditions. I later decided to transition into school-based speech-language therapy. Over the years, I have worked extensively with students across the K-12 population, providing screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and direct intervention for children presenting with communication delays and disorders. My school-based caseload has involved servicing students from both general education and self-contained classroom settings. I have extensive experience and expertise addressing articulation and phonological disorders, motor speech disorders (ie, apraxia), expressive and receptive language impairments, pragmatic (social) language deficits, and fluency (ie, stuttering).
